I’m moving to Leesburg, Virginia where I am purchasing a 1950’s stone home. I’m interested in using solar power and solar heat to augment the existing town power and gas heat systems currently in the house. While I have read several books on the topic and have followed the advances over the past 15 years, I am by no means qualified to assess the potential of an old house like this to exploit solar power and heat. Therefore, I would like to contact someone in the Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland area to give me guidence on available supplies, contractors, and design support. I offer.
