Our local county board , dear little republicans, voted themselves 80% base retirment benifits contrasted to 30% base paid to the non-elected workers. When ask how this was going to be paid for…didn’t have a clue. Now they are trying to get 1/4 cent ****overall**** sales tax to "remodel the court house’, for the children, etc.. sounds like pay their retirement to me. We do have, have had, and probably will have numbskulls, crooks and greedy fools in politics for all parties. The pity is we, the voters, enable them. Doris F. p.s. vote

Ray, Right on! My wife got into a debate with a woman she worked with — compensation for the descendants of black slaves. When my wife asked how this would be paid for, the other woman replied, "Why, the government, of course." My wife was never able to across to her that the "government" doesn’t pay for anything.
