bizzare behaviour in my kitten

Question:

If you have a Save A Pet around, they can give you a certificate to take her to your vet and it should only cost $10.00 for females, $5.00 for males.

Response:

>You need to have your cat fixed now.  A spay/neuter can be done a lot >earlier now.  Your cat is probably on the verge of going into heat and wants >to "share the love".  This is an accident waiting to happen! >If you can’t afford to take her to the vets, call them and ask if you can >make payments, or check into a possible spay and neuter clinic that will do >it for a lot less. >Please don’t wait!!

I used to be of the opinion that spayed female kitties got overweight…. but when my baby jessi went into heat, it was PAINFULL to watch…  Her only thought was "FUCK ME!"  She’d rub against whater was around and had her tail slightly to the left to make getting FUCKED easier. Don’t put your kitty though it.  The only solution is reproduction twentyfold every few years.  Starvation is the only alternative.   Neither are pleasnant choices. Afterwards, jessi did gain weight.  She looks like she weighs 30 pounds but she only weighs 12 and a half.  The rest is fur. ;-)  My vet said that I should put her on a diet, but I’ve pretty much ignored that advise…   All my kitties are freefed and one is a kitten.  I had her on old cat’s food, but switched her to plain food when kato, as a kitten, joined the household to give her exercise and harass her constantly.  Jessi turned kato into a good natured dope… I now have the gizzerd to harass jessi.   Jessi says WOW!  She got a bit heavier after being fixed, but her weight is now stabilized.   http://www.pobox.com/~TCS-cats

Response:

Good point, sorry I missed that… :-P

Response:

I don’t know of any other characteristic signs BESIDES whining and trying to get out of the house!!!!  No, REALLY!!  She’s just the right age too. Get the girl fixed. You can ride this one out for a week or two (?) or get her fixed now, but it will cost more since she is IN heat.  Apparently it is more difficult to control the bleeding when they are in heat.  Or maybe it’s just a way of the vet getting more $$$. Any comments on that, kitties? Nevertheless, the sooner the better.  Being in heat is an uncomfortable time for her. -B.

Response:

You need to have your cat fixed now.  A spay/neuter can be done a lot earlier now.  Your cat is probably on the verge of going into heat and wants to "share the love".  This is an accident waiting to happen! If you can’t afford to take her to the vets, call them and ask if you can make payments, or check into a possible spay and neuter clinic that will do it for a lot less. Please don’t wait!! — Bugsy…. There is a lot of variation in the intensity of "heat" behavior between cats.  Whining and trying to get out are pretty basic to heat however (I can remember one that never made a sound until she saw a male or at least another cat – I couldn’t tell by looking).  She is certainly old enough for her first heat.  If she hasn’t been whining and trying to get out for the last few months but that this behavior has just started, I would strongly suspect that she is in heat now and that you should arrange with a vet to get her spayed now.
