I would like to automate lights in the rooms in my house, so that lights come on when there is someone in a room and go off when there are no people in the room. I am well aware that there is no perfect solution to do this, since someone sitting on a couch may not move enough to prevent the lights from going off automatically often while still in the room. If such a product exists or comes close to the perfect solution, please let me know! However, the room that is my priority for installation is the kitchen, which usually has enough motion in the room to keep lights from going off without wanting them to. Either way of course, I am looking for the best solution to take care of this. Is a wall mounted motion switch sufficient or are their more sophisticated units with remote sensors or ones that use heat, motion and sound to make them more accurate. I would appreciate any advice.
