Dogs Fighting

Question:

Beware of Jerry Howe. Jerry Howe is only here to sell you his dubious $100 electronic training device. That is where the link he wrote SEVEN TIMES in his latest SPAM takes you. His "free training manual" offer is the bait for his underhanded "bait & switch" scam. (An unhappy purchaser of Jerry’s $100 training device has posted a review at: If Jerry were an honest person he would post a genuine link to the "free training  manual" & not try to scam every new person on the newsgroup. Unfortunately he refuses to do so and, as you can see by his posts, viciously attacks, slanders, and lies about anyone who disagrees with him in any way. Recently, Jerry Howe encouraged a poster in this very newsgroup to: , & I quote, " P.S. Take a couple of Tylenol with cyaninde. " Jerry also posted this to a female who did not agree with him: "You don’t like me because I point out the pimples on your butt, and you look around, see the boil oozing pus, and then you blame ME for pointing it out to you. Stick your head back in the dirt and ignore me. The boil will stop leaking pus when you run out of infection…". I would suggest that you avoid ANY contact with Jerry Howe. Hello People, Take this at face value: Hello peter, > Hi folks, > My Australian Cattle Dog, Dingo is starting to get really > unpredictable with his K9 agression.

Yeah? At least you’re keeping true to form. All you bums who criticize ME, have behavior problems with your own dogs, and I’ve got solutions, but YOU’RE TOO  SMART to be fooled by this con man, eh good buddy? > Used to be my wife and I could see the setup before > things got out of hand,

And no doubt jumped right in to take control of the situation, thus provoking the dog MOORE. Most behavior problmes are exacerbated by our inappropriate and ineffective interference with their behaviors. You can’t FORCE control, Peter, and THAT’S the nature of your dog’s behavior problem. It’s a CONTROL ISSUE, not a dog fighting problem. The dog fighting is only a symptom of your inappropriate training efforts and mishandling. > but now he’s on a really short fuse.

Right. That’s why I start my students at the begining and get everything adjusted from the bottom up, learning HOWE to handle the lead and command the dog’s attention through non force, non confrontational scientific and psychological conditioning techniques. It’s all available for FREE in the Wits’ End Dog Training Method manual at http://www.doggydoright.com > Dingo has beaten up our mixed breed dog 3 times within > the space of 45 days. This with no prior provocation real or > imagined.

Let’s worry about the things you can understand, not the things you have no idea of what’s really going on. You can’t presume there is NO PROVOCATION, until you understand the fundamentals, THEN you MIGHT be able to say for sure there’s no provocation. I’d bet the provocation is coming from your inappropriate handling efforts…which will be evident to you after you learn the information and techniques I can teach you for FREE. > My wife and I  have gotten fairly good at reading doggie > signals (staring, posture,  etc.) that I can honestly say > there is no provocation.

That’s what I mean. Forget about what you’ve "learned," it’s mostly wrong, and what isn’t wrong, is irrelevant, immaterial, and inconsequential to the behavior problems you’re dealing with. > He’ll (Dingo) just snap and go after the mixed breed and > all three times lately the mix has been hurt bad.

That’s why you should stop what you’ve BEEN doing, and LEARN HOWE to properly handle and control your dogs so you won’t have problems like this. You could have done all this over a year ago, and avoided this post altogether. > My question: Does anybody out there have any experience > with putting dogs on Prozac?

Could help, could hurt. I’d consider Ritalin or methadrine. Ask your vet about it. Tell him to call me if he’d like. And don’t forget, the drugs are for THERAPY, that means you’ll STILL need training.  I suggest you use the INFORMATION you have available to  you for FREE in the  Wits’ End Dog Training Method manual at http://www.doggydoright.com > The reason I’m considering it is Dingo is a very  insecure > dog with LOADS of anxiety about everything.

The heeling pattern exercise in Part 2 of the Wits’ End Dog Training Method manual available for FREE at http://www.doggydoright.com will make siginficant improvements in his anxiety in about four or five days. > Dingo’s day is  typically filled with pacing about madly and > whining about everything.

That’s the problem, not the dog fighting. The methods in the Wits’ End Dog Training Method manual available for FREE at http://www.doggydoright.com will solve that. So will my machine, and it’s 100% guaranteed… > He’s had several physicals over the last couple of years > trying to see if there was a physical cause for all of this > crazynes and nothing has come up.

You mean nothing but your criticism and rejection of the FREE information I teach good folks who care about their dogs… That’s something you’ve never taken advantage of. Perhaps that’s because you’re not bright enough to LEARN? You’d rather give a pill or pay someone to do the thinking and work for you. I’ll teach you, but I won’t do your homework, and I won’t take your hard earned dough. Wits’ End Dog Training is FREE. > I’m at my wits end here and I have even considered > having Dingo (who is my best buddy!) put down for the

For the sake of not being willing to LEARN something from this con man who’s been conning dogs into EXCELLENT BEHAVIOR for thirty eight years, huh? You’d rather listen to the bums who’ve got the same problems you do, huh? And of cours, thinking of KILLING your BEST FRIEND. I’m glad you HATE me, peter.. BRILLIANT, peter. Sheer brilliance. Ask lying"I LOVE KOEHLER"lynn, or lyingdogDUMMY, or cindymooreon HOWE THEY’D BREAK that behavior… They’ll tell you they NEED to HURT this dog MOORE than you’d LIKE. Eh, good buddy? Let’s see ANYONE take issue with me there. C’mone. Let’s hear it folks… Tell us you bums know anything MOORE than to HURT this dog ENOUGH to make IT stop fighting… BWAAAAHAHAAAA!!!! > safety of the other dogs I have in the house as well as

As well as any other excuses you can come up with for KILLING your "best buddy," eh? > (more importantly) the safety of my family.

Yes. All the excuses you need to KILL your dog. Can I call a Spade a Spade, OR WHAT??? > One of the incidents happened with a guest of my house > who is NOT a dog  person physically in the middle of fray. > Luckily my guest was not hurt.

LUCKILY you didn’t study my methods, I’d be holding the bag for your errors and inability, no doubt. Thanks for NOT using the Wits’ End Dog Training Method manual available for FREE at http://www.doggydoright.com > I am going to have Dingo screened for thyroid function just > in case that is the issue.  I have worked in the past with a > couple of behavior consultants

BWAAAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!! Your "experts" should have told you to check that from the git go. > and they have all warned me that it could come to this > point with him.

NO DOUBT. WONDER WHY??? Because they don’t have good success with behavior problems. They gave you a bum steer and ripped you off for your hard earned dough… They tell you to EXPECT their "program" is going to take MONTHS, and MAY NOT WORK… My methods are guaranteed to work within DAYS. But you got to learn STUFF. We don’t lock dogs up and fight with them about behaviors… EVERYTHING you’ve learned is inappropriate as far as the Wits’ End Dog Training Method manual available for FREE at http://www.doggydoright.com > Thoughts and suggestions not having to do with dubious > techno-toys are welcome.

By "dubious techno-toys" you’re referring to Doggy Do Right (and Kitty Will Too)? Tell ya what, chum. Try using your pharmaceuticals for sixty days. If you don’t achieve your goals, ask the drug company for you money back ..They’ll tell you "NOTHING DOING. We’re not guarranteeing ANYTHING, including side effects." Try using Doggy Do Right (and Kitty Will Too). Keep it for as long as you like, and if you don’t meet your goals, ask the BIOSOUND Scientific Elves for your money back. They’ll even pay your return shipping… HOWE’S THAT? I’m glad you’re TOO SMART for this con man. > "Linux renders ships                     http://www.berghold.net >  NT renders ships useless…."

Hi I’m hoping someone out there can help us.  We have a 3 year old male malamute who is not neutered and a two year old female malamute.  They are both confined to a pen or on a leash when we walk them.  Our neighbour has a 1 1/2 year old in tact male who is allowed to run free. He has come over to our property (we live in the country) and bugged our dogs through the fence.  Last week while I was walking our male out in the bush the neighbours dog came up from behind and attacked our dog.  A dog fight ensued.  Luckily a friend was with me and she helped separate the dogs and took one home.  Had I been alone I shudder to think what could have happened.  Now our neighbours are insisting that their dog was playing and that we are overreacting by calling the canine control officer and reporting the episode.  They insist that the two males should be forced to get along.  Does anyone out there have any idea where I could get articles or information on dog fights/behaviour so that we can back up our concerns and convince these people that they have to take this seriously and keep their dog under control!!??  We would appreciate your input. Thanks Steve and Linda

Response:

Your neighbors are being absurd and either know very little about dogs or are just plain lying. Two males, esp. intact males, can be expected to have dominance issues, and when one encroaches upon the territory of another, a fight will often result. Dogs are animals, not philosphers. They do not debate wrong from right or live by a "can’t we all just get along" philosophy. There are plenty of books on such subject, but, basically, your neighbors are violating the law. You can kindly refer them to a book or magazine article, but they probably won’t apply it to "their wonderful dog". Have they paid for any vet bills for your dog that resulted from the attack. If you really want to make them seriously consider this matter, inform them that if their dog trespasses on your property again, their will be severe legal consequences. — -Dawn-  The Chako Rescue Assoc. for the American Pit Bull Terrier, Inc.  http://home.att.net/~DawnCapp  A sanctuary for an endangered breed *Time is the best teacher, unfortunately it kills all of its students*

Stick by your guns, you are right. Have a talk with your neighbors. Explain that you want to remain friends, but that they are required to keep their dog on their own land. If they fail to do so, you’re calling animal control again, right away. : Hi : I’m hoping someone out there can help us.  We have a 3 year old male : malamute who is not neutered and a two year old female malamute.  They : are both confined to a pen or on a leash when we walk them.  Our : neighbour has a 1 1/2 year old in tact male who is allowed to run free. : He has come over to our property (we live in the country) and bugged our : dogs through the fence.  Last week while I was walking our male out in : the bush the neighbours dog came up from behind and attacked our dog.  A : dog fight ensued.  Luckily a friend was with me and she helped separate : the dogs and took one home.  Had I been alone I shudder to think what : could have happened.  Now our neighbours are insisting that their dog : was playing and that we are overreacting by calling the canine control : officer and reporting the episode.  They insist that the two males : should be forced to get along.  Does anyone out there have any idea : where I could get articles or information on dog fights/behaviour so : that we can back up our concerns and convince these people that they : have to take this seriously and keep their dog under control!!??  We : would appreciate your input. : Thanks : Steve and Linda
