How fun for all of you! We took my parents on a couple of overnight trips when my dad was still in shape to do it.  Now that my dad is gone, I am so very glad we did this. I’m really grateful to Mike who first suggested it and who happily took on much of work of helping my absent-minded prof with long term RA dad get around.   Linda and her Mike are wise to enjoy doing things with you now. — Nann cut the Gator cheer to email me Not all who wander are lost — bumper sticker

Hi, Everyone, I’m back.  I know, I know – you didn’t know I was gone. LOL Anyway, three years ago when we were approaching our 25th wedding anniversary, Mike and Linda said they were going to take us whale watching as our gift (it’s been a life-long dream).  I don’t remember what happened that year, but we couldn’t go and everyone forgot it.  Then, out of the clear blue, Linda called me and said it was time for our trip.  WOW – I had soooooo much fun!! We drove to Cape May, New Jersey (about 5-6 hour drive) and stayed in a Victorian bed and breakfast.  Tiny rooms, miniscule shower stall, and you literally had to climb into the bed (they did provide the step stool). Saturday morning we went on the whale watching cruise out into the Atlantic Ocean.  It was cold and windy so the whales stayed underwater, but the dolphins were out frolicking and feeding.  They were all over the place! We saw a whole pod at one point with two baby dolphins – one was only a little bigger than a large football and was coal black in color! Unfortunately the picture of him didn’t come out. Then we went back to the B&B where I took a nap while Bob read. In the afternoon, he and I played a round of putt-putt golf with Bob entertaining those behind us as usual. :-D [Mike and Linda did their own thing - walking, talking, shopping, etc.]  In the evening we joined up again and went on a horse-drawn carriage tour of the town.  Man! I enjoyed that soooo much! Then to a really nice dinner where everyone had seafood but I stuck to New York strip. See, I CAN be good! Sunday we went out to the Cape May Light House and then said goodbye.  We started back and drove the 5 hours home.  We even dawdled on the way home, but Mike and Linda (who stayed longer at the Light House) came in right behind us.  I didn’t ask them how fast they drove. ;) So now I’m back.  I’ve cheated and marked all the posts read, so if I don’t respond to something you wanted me to respond to, resend it please.  Love ya – DeeTee Oh, yeah – if you want to see some pictures, go to: http://home.earthlink.net/~bdtaggart/WhaleTrip/whale.html DeeTee and Bob Taggart http://home.earthlink.net/~bdtaggart
