Apply high-gloss slate sealant?  Some sealants are high-gloss, others aren’t. —         Darryl Okahata DISCLAIMER: this message is the author’s personal opinion and does not constitute the support, opinion, or policy of Agilent Technologies, or of the little green men that have been following him all day.

I think home improvement stores have it. I had a slate floor I glazed yearly at my last house, but it was only the entry-way, and I think I only had to purchase more 1 time in 5 years. Yess several year ago, i bought some slate, not the flat stuff, but thick stuff and put it in a bed of mortor on my patio, they also sold me a gallon can of slate sealer, it was real nice, it would make the slate look very rich black, the only problem was if it was wet with moisture or a slight rain, you could slip from one side to the other, we quit using the stuff over 25 years ago.  go to a stone center or place that sell slate, they would be the ones that have the professional stuff.
